Stellenbosch University Water Institute, on behalf of the Agriculture Sector Education Training Authority (AgriSETA), will provide the opportunity for college lecturers in the Eastern Cape to attend the short course Farming Management for Income Generation.
Lovedale TVET College, as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Climate Smart Agriculture in South Africa established through the European Union funded Erasmus+ programme, will host the training.
The key objectives of the short course include:
This course provides participants with the skills, competencies and expertise to apply sustainable practices and value-added strategies which include sustainable farming techniques, diversification value addition, and access to finance and grants.
To introduce participants to farm resource and financial management, farm planning and goal setting.
In addition, the course will cover topics that provide participants with the knowledge and skills to understand markets, marketing and how to build resilience.
Date: 6 – 8 August 2025
Venue: Lovedale TVET College, Head Office, King William’s Town
