As the three-year Centres of Vocational Excellence in Climate Smart Agriculture in South Africa (CoVE SA) project draws to a close, we are pleased to announce that the Final Sustainability Conference will be held this October at Stellenbosch University.
The Project Team will reflect on the achievements of the past three years while also looking ahead, focusing on strategies to sustain the activities of the CoVE for at least two years beyond the conclusion of this EU-funded Erasmus+ initiative.
Please contact us to join the day and meet the project partners, Maastricht School of Management, Boland TVET College, Lovedale TVET College, West Coast TVET College, Mendelu University, AgriColleges International, and Stellenbosch University.
The Objectives of the Conference:
The Final Sustainability Conference will provide an opportunity to share key outcomes of the project with stakeholders and attendees. The objectives of the event include:
Showcasing the project's best practices,
Presenting the colleges’ business plans for sustaining CoVE activities, and
Highlighting the results of the pilot implementation of online, skills-based training courses in classroom settings.
The event will also serve to strengthen collaboration between existing and new stakeholders and partner colleges, reinforcing the collective commitment to advancing future-proof, labour market-oriented education and training in climate-smart agriculture.
Date: 7 October 2025
Venue: Stellenbosch University Water Institute, Stellenbosch, South Africa
